I posted before about another web hosting review site that I wished I had come across when I was looking for a web host (although that was back in 2006 — how time flies). If you’re currently looking for webhosting, I would seriously consider checking out Web Hosting Rating.
I’m always still amazed that there are hosts out there that are able to offer unlimited bandwidth and unlimited sites; I guess we’ve come a long way in terms of what it costs to maintain a site (and I’m only talking from when I was looking for hosting in 2006).
I guess now the real trick is to compare the hosting review sites to each other and see which one offers the most comprehensive and honest reviews.

Good points. I recently shopped for web hosting. I found my current hosting company didn’t have some of the features I needed (allowing Navicat access to MySQL). I would add that one good way to find the right web hosting company for you is to find a site like the one you plan to create and then ask them who they use.

Honesty is a questionable factor for some web hosting reviews sites. There are cases where the review site belongs to a web hosting company and all the reviews are manipulated in order to pass the idea that the best web hosting firm is the maternal. I personally visit many review sites, blogs and forum whens it comes to decisions. As a general rule, don’t choose a host that offers unlimited hosting. They aren’t honest and when we realize it it is too late. Finally, the cheap web hosts cause the most extensive costs to a website…
