Does learning new software always seem time-consuming and expensive?

I’ve gotten through the learning stage with hundreds of software programs without paying for them (until of course, I realize that I actually enjoy that software).

Now, you ask, am I telling you to steal software? No, of course not. You can select and test out software to fit your needs legally and safely.

A little while ago, I had an idea.

The idea was that knowledge management (I realize not everyone is familiar with knowledge management, so a definition is always useful) is an extremely useful approach to getting things done within an organization.

While I could write a short tip once in a while about how to go about doing this, I thought I’d rather package all this information up into a longer article that you can read when you have time. If you don’t have the time to read it now, print this article out or bookmark it for later.

Interested? Have time to start reading now? Great. Let’s get started.

Or faster than you do? Or smarter than you?

Unfortunately for almost all of us, the answer is yes.

Now I’m not trying to make you feel bad or make you feel like your work is of lesser value than someone else’s.

Instead, I’m suggesting that you can take someone else’s success and efficiency, and with a minimal investment of time and energy, get their success working for you.

That’s really the power of working collaboratively: you get to leverage the success of others to make you more successful.
